COMMENT POLICY
COMMENT POLICY:
You’re encouraged to comment. I like comment threads and read them. In fact, I spend a good deal of many days lurking the comment threads of my favorite blogs with occasional contributions. The best rule of thumb on what is and is not permitted on this blog is to think, before you write your comment, is this something I could get away saying to a stranger I just met on the street? This rule is pretty easy to understand and if it is abused be ready for the inevitable edit or deletion of the offending comment.
Also it may encourage some to know, contrarian that I am, I enjoy a good debate. Good debates often include a lively exchange of ideas, different opinions, and expert references. Debates which include any of the many logical fallacies do not qualify as “good”. Please expect the inevitable edit or deletion of the offending comment.
Finally, while its become an all too common practice, I want to be perfectly clear about the next bit. I do not allow comments to be used to advertise or sell what ever it is you think you’ve got to move. Honestly, regardless of weather you think the thing you’re selling is so important that you can break this rule, your comment will be categorized as SPAM and deleted as soon as my clicky little finger clicks the appropriate button. Rest assured that I will not feel any remorse for the act of deleting your SPAM and I will probably sleep soundly.
